My name is Lysa Churchley and I believe clinical hypnotherapy and the counselling services I offer can help those suffering from depression, anxiety, addictions and poor behaviour choices.
I’m a registered and accredited therapist, who combines hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and integrative counselling which has elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. All therapies help people regain control of their lives and find direction and purpose.
When you think of hypnotherapy, you probably think of person standing front of you waving a fob watch, brain washing you. That’s not clinical hypnosis.
The easiest way to explain hypnotherapy is a process where you’re helped to enter a state of deep relaxation that allows you to connect to your subconscious.
You will stay awake and in total control. It will feel similar to being entranced by a good book or movie. You will remain aware of everything happening around you but be focused on one particular thing.

Often misunderstood. Hypnotherapy is a deep relaxation state , it is not a form of mind control. I cannot make you do anything you wouldn't do.
You are relaxed enough to feel sleepy but aware enough to answer my questions, and no, you will not divulge to me anything you don't want me to know.

No two sessions are alike because no two people are alike. I personalise treatment sessions based on your needs, adapting therapy as your needs change. For example, we can take you from suffering panic attacks to a state of calmness, by realigning your thought processes through goal setting and positive self-talk.
